An extraordinary event has disturbed the peace of Wurstburg Castle! Ritter Helmut Wurst, the legendary warrior of the Lókút Knights’ Tournament, has decided to attend an international training camp before the grand competition on October 23. His destination is Burgerland, the homeland of hamburgers. The knight is leaving nothing to chance: he has departed in a magnificent carriage drawn by four horses, carrying substantial emergency food supplies.
Four Horses, One Knight and an Enormous Appetite
Early in the morning, the entire castle staff gathered at the gates. Four carefully selected horses waited impatiently for departure while Ritter Helmut made the final adjustments to his travelling armour.
The carriage was loaded with swords, shields, training equipment and a rather impressive supply of mustard.
According to the Wurstburg Press Office, travelling by hot-air balloon had originally been considered. However, the court meteorologist warned that, given the knight’s weight and his planned hamburger consumption, a safe landing could not be guaranteed.
Ritter Helmut himself rejected the idea of travelling on horseback.
„One horse would get exhausted carrying me, but at least four horses can take turns complaining!” he explained.
Tough Training Awaits in Burgerland
The Burgerland Training Academy has prepared an extraordinary programme for the distinguished visitor.
Activities include two-handed hamburger lifting, French-fry javelin throwing, mustard target practice and obstacle racing in full knightly armour.
The highlight of the training camp will be the legendary Triple Cheeseburger Challenge, attempted so far by only a handful of exceptionally hungry knights.
The royal physician is closely monitoring developments, fearing that a completely new suit of armour may have to be forged before the return journey.
The Rivals Are Already Nervous
Upon hearing the news, Robin Hood immediately ordered a new bow, while Ivanhoe began an emergency sword-training session.
The descendants of King Arthur issued an official statement declaring that hamburger consumption would not be recognised as an official knightly discipline.
The Wurstburg Council of Knights has not yet taken a position on the matter.
The Knight Returns on October 23
Ritter Helmut is expected to return from Burgerland in time for the Lókút Knights’ Tournament, accompanied by his four horses, magnificent carriage and the valuable experience gained during his international training.
Before departure, the knight sent one final message to his opponents:
„My sword is sharp, my shield is strong, and my appetite is invincible! Wurstburg, I shall return!”
